Comcast offers some of their customers with the ability to use Comcast’s Hotspots for connectivity availability. Those on Internet Essentials will be in that network. This means a Comcast customer next door to my apartment can effectively connect to my network, and use my already slow speeds. I have no real say of this. I just have to realize that this will happen. This is because all of Comcast’s Modem/Router Combinations will use the Guest Wifi Network for this role. This means I don’t have a guest wifi network that I could offer to my visitors all because Comcast wants to expand their wifi network.
